Bukon is designed with privacy in mind. The app works entirely without a separate user account. All data remains under the user’s control at all times. Bukon does not collect, store, or process any personal data on external servers.
Data stored in the app
Bukon allows users to:
- Track books they have read (including reading dates and ratings) in the "Library".
- Track books they want to read in the "Wishlist".
All data entered in Bukon is stored exclusively on the user’s device or, if enabled by the user, in the user’s personal iCloud account.
Personal data
Bukon does not collect, store, or process personal data outside of the user’s device or iCloud account. There are:
- No user accounts
- No authentication
- No analytics
- No tracking
- No advertising
Third parties
Bukon does not share any data with third parties. Bukon uses Open Library to retrieve publicly available information about books (such as title, author, or cover image). No user data is transmitted to Open Library or to any other third-party service. Requests to Open Library do not include any information that could identify a user.
